Hermione watch his gaze at the clock. “Perhaps it’s the connection we have.” She said with a faint smile. She didn’t really want him to leave yet. Hermione wanted Liam to stay and watch the storm with her for hours.

Liam gave Hermione another kiss on the lips, this time taking longer than before. He wished he could stay a bit longer but that would mean skipping class and he wasn’t going to ruin his perfect attendance. He looked at Hermione, her beautiful brown eyes, her smooth skin, her wavy brown hair. “You know, I’m lucky to have such a beautiful girlfriend like you.” He smiled, kissing her one more time before leaving. “I promise next time we spend time together, it’ll be longer.” He heard the thunder roar after another flash of light had striked onto the castle. Liam gave Hermione one last kiss before departing, smiling at the thought of the next time they’d meet.

Liam gave a soft sigh. He felt a drop of moisture his his cheek, looking up to see if it was raining, more water droplets had began to fall on them. “Come on let’s go inside,” Liam said as he lead Hermione inside closing the door behind them. He waved his hand and the door of the room that he left open, shut itself, “I’ve been practicing, it’s nice using magic without doing all the mumble jumble.” Liam smiled at the impressed Hermione. Before she could speak, however, he had laid a kiss upon her lips.

Hermione felt more drops of rain falling as they went off the balcony. She was very impressed about Liam not using a wand to close the door but she wasn’t the best at using magic without a wand, even if she did do it before she knew everything. Before she could say her compliment to him, Liam kissed her and she kissed right back as the sounds of thunder were louder since the storm was right over head.

“Why is it that everytime I kiss you, I don’t want it to end?” He looked at the clock ahead, he had about another five minutes before heading back to class.

Hermione winced slightly at Liam squeezing her hand harder. She relaxed when he said sorry and released it very slightly but still having a grip on it. Hermione thought about what Liam said. What if he does come here and what if she gets captured or finds out she was there that night and uses Liam to get to her? She had to shake those thoughts out of her head. “Harry is scared about that too because Ron and I are his best friends and we told him that we’re sticking with him.” Hermione frowned again and looked back up at Liam. “I don’t think he’s going to get to Hogwarts. Not while Dumbledore is here and the powerful force fields and shields that surround the area. I over heard teachers talking that death eaters try to break in but they don’t get past the first fortress.”

“It won’t take them too long Hermione, they’ll find a way, they always do.” Liam looked out at the castle grounds, he slightly turned his head towards the Forbidden Forest. Another flash of lightning appeared as it’s brilliant light reflected all over the grounds. Liam took a deep breath. Hermione was right, as long as Dumbledore was here, they were safe, they couldn’t be touched. “Do you think Harry has chance,” Liam paused, “defeating the Dark Lord?”

Hermione watched the light struck the sky and a rumble came about three seconds after. The storm was getting closer. Their hands were still linked together so she brushed the back of Liam’s hand with thumb. “I think he does.” Hermione said honestly. She knew Harry was a great wizard and he could defeat him. Hermione looked back up to the dark sky and felt a few drops falling from the sky.

She looked backed up at Liam when he mentioned about You-Know-Who being back and frowned. “Yes…he is out there.” Hermione remembered from the Ministry as Harry was fighting off Voldemort mentally and he appeared visibly to everyone but didn’t quite know it and then disappeared when Fudge came in. She shivered slightly at that memory.

“I remember my parents telling me how bad it was, when he rose to power.” He had clenched his hands hard, forgetting that he was holding Hermione’s. “Sorry,” Liam breathed, “It’s just, I’m scared to what will happen if he ever tried coming here. Hurting you.” Liam looked at her again, “I know he wants Harry, he’s the chosen one, that’s the rumor that everyone has been saying, and if it’s true, You-Know-Who will come after the closest people in Harry’s life, you and Ron.”

Hermione smiled and laughed softly at that analogy. “Yeah I suppose you’re right.” She said, smiling back at Liam. They do seem to follow one another, in the non-creepy way, and even if they don’t plan it, like for this moment as an example and the night when they admitted they want to be with one another, they just end up together. Hermione faced back to the sky to see it getting darker by the minute but no rain was coming, not yet at least.

Liam snuck his hand onto Hermione’s. They both locked their fingers together. While Hermione looked back out into the dark sky, he gazed her, and her lovely features. She was utterly beautiful. How her hair would flow down, reaching her uniform, her perfectly structured face. He could see the corner of her beautiful brown eyes. When lightning striked again, the flash made her eyes glow, a beautiful caramel brown color. He looked back towards the storms. “So You-Know-Who is really out there,” Liam suddenly said. It’s been crazy, the wizarding world, it wasn’t the same, as more deaths were occurring, people starting to be on the alert.
